Welcome Back!!

It's 2017!!! It's time to get down to business on a new semester and a new season. The Hornets braved the snow storm and made their way back to school. Safely back on campus, they hit the ground running. This week, they are hitting the weight room, turf, and the classroom hard in their pursuit of excellence. With the start of a new year, the girls have a lot to look forward to. We asked all of the players to tell us a little bit of what they are looking forward to in 2017.

What is your New Year's Resolution?

"My New Year's Resolution is to better myself. I plan to start new habits like saving money, eating better, and drinking more water."- Alexis

"My New Year's Resolution is to not stress the little things and enjoy 2017 with my awesome teammates."- Micaela

What class are you most excited about?

"I am most excited about taking Anatomy and Physiology 2. It's going to be a challenging class, but I find learning about the human anatomy is extremely interesting."- Jasmine

"I am most excited about my military science class. The class teaches us and helps us prepare to be future leaders in the United States Army." Jordan

What is the best part about coming back to DSU?

"The best part about coming back is being with my team, continuing my education, and no sales tax in Delaware."- Mika

"The best part about coming back is being with my suite mates and the rest of my team." Kaleigh

"The best part about coming back is being back with my teammates and being able to go into my first collegiate season with them."- Desiree

How are you feeling going into your last semester at DSU?

"I'm excited to get out into the work force and begin my adult life. I am going to miss playing softball for DSU and I also will miss the friendships that I have gained by being here."-Tara

"I am sad that it is my last season playing softball, but I am also ready to enjoy every moment of it. I am extremely anxious to finish my undergrad and start working towards my career."-Dani

What are you most looking forward to in 2017?

"I am looking forward to being a part of the Delaware State softball program for a second season. I can't wait to make my mark on the team and continue to strive to be my best. I look forward to competing both physically and mentally with my teammates by my side. This season will be filled with traveling, hard work, and great memories."- Sabrina

"I am looking forward to getting to experience an opportunity to travel with my teammates to new places." - Jess

"I am looking forward to traveling with my teammates and experiencing the game and facilities against higher ranked teams."- Khaliyah

"I am most looking forward to playing with the team and building more memories as we compete against other teams in the country."- Vanessa
