DSU Hornet third base freshman Jordan Stamps of Torrence, Calif, showed why she was pegged for the clean up slot in the batting order yesterday, Friday, March 7, in the first games of the Winthrop Invitational, Rock Hill, SC.
Jordan hit 3 for 4, drew a walked, and drove the only 2 runs scored across the plate. Against the nationally ranked Georgia Bulldogs, she had the sole Hornet hit of the game. She leads the team in RBIs with 7 so far early in this season.
