Hornets win two,
18 hits for the day

The Delaware State Hornets swept both games of a doubleheader on the road yesterday, Wednesday, April 3, wining 5-2 against the Lafayette Leopards in the first game and scoring two seventh inning runs in the second game for a 5-4 decision.

Stephanie Sarris pitched a complete game to start the day and picked up a second win throwing in relief for the final contest. She hurled 10.1 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 6 hits and striking out 12.
Sandy Hawthorne was 4-for-7 in the twin bill with 2 RBI.

Jennifer Fischbach slammed a home run in a 3-for-6 day with 4 RBI.

Both Chloe Oro and Nicole Gazzolla hit 3-for-7 in the two games. Chloe also doubled, stole a base, and added 2 RBI.
