Bennett with walk-off!

The DSU Hornets scored in the first and seventh innings versus Harvard this afternoon, Saturday, March 9, at the Winthrop Invitational, Rock Hill, SC, and that was all they need to edge the Crimson by a score of 5-4. 

Later in the evening, Western Illinois proved tougher to handle for the Hornets as these Fighting Leathernecks turned 10 hits into 8 runs.

On the day,
DSU Hornets rapped out a parade of hits.

Nicole Gazzolla marched to the front by hitting 3 for 5 and scoring two runs.

Rochelle Sablay visited the base paths often going 2 for 4 with 2 walks, a run scored and an RBI.

Kelsey Doherty slammed 3 for 6, including a double, a run scored and an RBI.

Jessica Madrid was 2 for 5 with a walk and another run scored.

Jordan Stamps also had a double.
